Honda was amongst the pioneers of the hybrid car. Following the hybrid Insight came another hybrid the Civic IMA, then the first plug-in hybrid, the Jazz. Now there is nothing. Do expect Honda to follow on with more hybrids over the next few years though, including a couple mega-stars in the NSX hypercar and the FCV hydrogen-powered car. Both are currently expected to be on sale in the UK before the end of 2017.

PHEV models no longer available:

A roomy, compact supermini, enhanced by hybrid technology. With a 40 litre fuel tank and a claimed 62.4mpg, this provides a potential range of almost 550 miles, although 50mpg and 440 miles is probably closer to reality.
